{"id":250,"date":"2021-09-16T13:37:59","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T13:37:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.10.50.17\/?page_id=250"},"modified":"2023-12-27T15:27:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-27T13:27:57","slug":"charts-basic-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/?page_id=250","title":{"rendered":"Charts"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>BASIC INFORMATION<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>IENC (Inland Electronic Navigational Chart) Maps for inland sailing are considered standardized in structure, format and content.<\/p>\n<p>In Poland the only one institution that is authorised to issue IENC maps is Office of Inland Navigation in Szczecin. The produced maps are intended for use in electronic map display devices and Inland ECDIS navigational information.<\/p>\n<p>IENC maps contains neccessary informations for safe navigation. Thanks to the extra included informations it significantly improves the comfort of navigation. To ensure the safety of navigation, IENC charts should contain the following set of data:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"tempUl\">\n<li>coastline,<\/li>\n<li>shore structures that pose a danger to navigation,<\/li>\n<li>contours of locks and weirs,<\/li>\n<li>fairway boundaries,<\/li>\n<li>fairway axis with mileage\/hectometre,<\/li>\n<li>navigation aids such as: ponds, buoys, lights and navigation marks,<\/li>\n<li>isolated dangers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to the implementation of RIS (river information services) on the Odra section: from the motorway bridge in \u015awieck to Szczecin and on the section of the Warta river from Kostrzyn (near Odra) to \u015awierkocin, users of waterways can use inland electronic navigation maps on these sections free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>The process of developing IENC maps made available by the Office of Inland Navigation in Szczecin:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-271 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"993\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1.png 993w, https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1-768x348.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 993px) 100vw, 993px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Picture below represents electronical navigation map of Szczecin:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-272 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1243\" height=\"819\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2.png 1243w, https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2-300x198.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2-1024x675.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.ris-odra.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2-768x506.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1243px) 100vw, 1243px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>ECDIS INLAND<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Electronic Chart Display and Information System ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) is a navigation information system that integrates an electronic navigation map and information from navigation measurement sensors on one display.&nbsp;The system installed on the vessel supports the navigator in planning and controlling the route.<\/p>\n<p>Inland ECDIS is an extension of the ECDIS standard where special requirements for IENC Inland Electronic Navigational Charts are included. Everyone can use Electronic Inland Navigation Charts (IENC) free of charge for visual, information and navigation purposes. It is unacceptable to use IENC maps for purposes other than those indicated.<\/p>\n<p>II. The entitlement to free use of IENC maps means only the possibility to view its content in applications intended for viewing IENC maps or for navigation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 0.95em;\">III. Copying and editing the content of IENC maps, as well as possible subsequent recording and dissemination of the copied\/edited content, is possible only with the written consent of the Office of Inland Navigation in Szczecin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 0.95em;\"> IV. The Inland Navigation Office in Szczecin reserves that, despite due diligence, the data contained in the IENC maps may not correspond to the current factual and legal status, and therefore may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 0.95em;\"> V. The Office of Inland Navigation in Szczecin is not responsible for the effects of decisions made on the basis of IENC maps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 0.95em;\"> VI. To view the content of maps (IENC) you need specialized software that supports a given file format in the 2.3 and 2.4 standards.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, we would like to inform you that the producers of Inland ECDIS systems provide free specialized software that allows you to view maps (IENC) also on personal computers, laptops, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Software could be downloaded from: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sevencs.com\/products\/software-downloads\/\">https:\/\/www.sevencs.com\/products\/software-downloads\/<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teledynecaris.com\/en\/products\/easy-view\/\">http:\/\/www.teledynecaris.com\/en\/products\/easy-view\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BASIC INFORMATION &nbsp; IENC (Inland Electronic Navigational Chart) Maps for inland sailing are considered standardized in structure, format and content.
